Structures of Less Polar Trhterpenes Obtained from the Fruits of Chaenomeles sinesis

Abstract

|
|
Four acidic triterpenes were isolated by repeated silica gel coulmn chromatography. Their structures have been determined as 1: 2α, 3β-dihydroxyolean-12-ene, 2: 3β,24-dihydroxyolean-12-ene, 3: 3β,23-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid, 4:
3β,23-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid, respectively, on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence.
